The Halifax Transition House Association operates Bryony House and its outreach services, with a volunteer Board of Directors. The Department of Community Services funds 75% of our budget. We depend heavily on fundraising to maintain the current level of services.

There are a number of ways you can support Bryony House:

Tax receipts will be issued for all donations so be sure to include your return address with your donation.

Planned Giving (Bequests, Life Insurance, Gift Annuities)

You can arrange to leave a portion of your estate or life insurance policy to Bryony House or you could establish a contribution plan to Bryony House where contributions are made from your account to Bryony House on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, annually, etc.).

It is best to arranged these types of giving through financial planning companies, lawyers or accounting firms.

Annual Direct Mail Campaign

Each year Bryony House sends letters to its supporters thanking them for their generosity and requesting their support in the upcoming year. To have your name added to our mailing list, please contact us.

Non-Monetary Donations

Non-monetary donations in the form of clothing, children's toys, non-perishable food items, etc., can be dropped off at:
